House 49 provides medium to long-term (up to 24 months) accommodation for individuals and couples over 25 years old at risk of homelessness. House 49 has Limited Doubled Rooms for couples only. 

Residents have access to our Street 2 Home, Door Ways, and Positive Lifestyle programs all designed to assist people back into Community and out of poverty and homelessness.

House 49 Housing Services:

• Budget-priced single and double rooms for vulnerable singles and couples over 25 who are deemed to be at risk of homelessness.
• All residents are provided with Case Management and allocated a Case Manager who they can engage to help Residents with sourcing long-term accommodation with NT Housing or Private Rental Options. 
• All rooms (Levels 1 & 2) are accessed via internal staircases. There are no lifts at House 49.
• No ground rooms are available at House 49. 
• An assessment is required for all new inquiries. Assessment days are Tuesday and Thursday and booking can be done by contacting the office. 
• Rent is payable in advance, and we can assist new Residents in setting up Centrepay for future rental payments. 
• House 49 Promotes a drug-free, alcohol-free, and violence-free environment, both Residents and Staff have the right to be safe at all times while at House 49.
• Residents and Visitors are required to observe House 49 rules at all times as per Rooming Agreement.

ROOMS

• Rooms are available on a 6-month basis, to begin with, with an extension available upon review. 
• Rooms are fan cooled and contain a single bed, table, chair, storage cupboards, and small fridge, portable aircon is available upon request for an additional weekly fee. 
• House 49 provides fresh linen and Residents are required to maintain the cleanliness of their own rooms with weekly room inspections conducted. 
• The communal kitchen and bathroom/toilet amenities are located on each level of the building. Residents are required to clean up after themselves when using both the kitchen and bathroom/toilet amenities. 
• Coin-operated laundry is located on the ground floor
